Collection: Eileen Seitz

Eileen Seitz was born in Midtown Manhattan on June 28, 1951.  Her artistic world began when she was eight years old.  At age thirteen, she won a first-place award for an oil painting in a New York City Street art show.  At sixteen, she sold her first oil painting to a New York city art dealer.  Eileen attended Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, New York, studying Fine Arts in drawing, oil painting, and watercolors.

In 1968, Eileen began her travels.  So far St. Thomas, Puerto Rico, Key West, Mexico, all of Central America, Columbia, Kauai, Eleuthera, Nassau, Paradise Island, St. Marten, Tortola, Jamaica, Maui, Hawaii, Oahu, St. Lucia, Martinique, Dominica, Anguilla, Barbados, Trinidad, Tobago, Guadalupe, Taveuni-Fiji, Bega-Fiji, Alaska, England, Belgium, Amsterdam, Germany, Italy, Switzerland, France, Sicily, Corfu, Portugal, Spain, Montenegro, Dubrovnik, Bora Bora, Moorea, Tahiti, Raiatea, Rangiora, Nuku Hiva, and Canada.  The Truth and Beauty of these places is overwhelming and feeds Eileen's artistic soul. 

For the past 53 years, Eileen's paintings have received numerous awards, commissioned and purchased for theatre and television, national and international hotels, resorts, banks, restaurants, airports, and cruise ships.  Many have been chosen and published as art festival posters.  Besides Eileen's many private collectors, some of her public collectors are, Royal Caribbean Cruise line, Walt Disney Corp, Blancaneaux Lodge, Belize CA., Plantation Inn Hotel, Jamaica WI, Couples Resort, Jamaica WI, Md Anderson, Houston Texas, Health Central, Ocoee Florida, Caneel Bay Resort St. Johns, Carambola Beach Resort, St Croix, Peter Island Resort, BVI, Maho Beach Resort and Casino, St. Maarteen, Daily News Building St. Thomas, Radisson Blu Resort, St. Marten, Coconut Grove-Fiji, Tavenui, Fiji, and American Airlines Admirals Club, Miami International Airport, Miami Florida, La Vista+La Vista Beach Resort, St. Maarten.

Some of the charities Eileen has gifted with her artwork are Miami Special Olympics, Cancer Charities, Our Pride Academy for Disabled, Coconut Grove Children’s Mosaic Mural, Coastal Conservation Association, Coastal Conservation Association, Family Resource Center, and the Boys and Girls Clubs f Miami Dade County and many more.

For 5 years, Eileen was teaching drawing and painting with watercolors to guests on several different cruise lines.  Then for 2 years, Eileen taught watercolor to children at the Boys and Girls clubs of Miami Dade county.  Eileen is also available for private lessons.

Eileen welcomes and thrives with inspiration to create personal commissioned pieces for all.  Always remembering where the gift comes from.  Eileen loves to share this joy that she feels thought the act of painting when the Spirit speaks through her brush and seeing that Spirit reborn in the faces and hearts of the people who come to share her anonymous gift.
